BZG : To all friends of children’s causes and to everyone who believes in their future: the micro‑crèche Youn ha Solena needs your help to stay open!

More than a simple childcare place in Breton, our crèche is committed every day to creating a space where each child can flourish at their own pace, in safety and confidence.

Today we are in danger and on the verge of closing.

Over the years, and due to a national shortage of staff, our cash flow has deteriorated and we are struggling to regain balance.

We currently employ 6 professionals under contract, 4 of whom work full time. Their jobs are at risk!

BZG : A small association made up of families (volunteers) and early childhood professionals, created to establish and develop this reception space each year in line with our core values.

We are proud to carry a project based on learning the Breton language by immersion from the earliest ages. To communicate and include every child, the professionals also use sign language on a daily basis.

The micro‑crèche’s ecological values raise awareness among families, who actively participate in projects.

Kindness is our guiding principle; towards parents, professionals and children; measures are in place so that children are supported through a special relationship with adults, within a group of up to 11 children. We also care about respecting and supporting each professional in their career within the micro‑crèche.

We believe that passing on Breton and these values (and many others, such as respect for a child’s privacy or the expression of their individuality) is necessary and indispensable for the children currently in the crèche to become engaged citizens within the community, able to demonstrate respect and kindness in their future personal and professional lives.

BZG : The current financial situation is the result of a series of events over the past years. Restarting from a sound basis, the micro‑crèche project is viable.

Today, the team is stable, complete, and enthusiastic about working on this beautiful project.

By filling the gap caused by the staff shortages of recent years, we will be able to get back on our feet and continue the crèche’s projects with peace of mind.

BZG : The future of the crèche depends on our ability to obtain grants and donations to ensure continuity of activity in the coming years.

The ambitious but sadly necessary target is to raise €20,000 by 15 January 2025.

Given the urgency of the situation, we have no other choice: this is our last chance!

Friends of children’s causes, Breton, ecology, inclusivity — if you want this childcare place to continue existing, with your support we can restart this beautiful project and secure the only Breton‑speaking crèche in the Loire‑Atlantique department.
