CotizUp has a new look, you're in the right place
Every fundraising is reviewed to help keep supported causes legitimate and authentic.
We review the fundraiser's documents and associated accounts to ensure a clear path for distributing funds to the final beneficiary.
Every fundraising is reviewed before payout to ensure it follows our rules. Fundraisings promoting hate or violence are not allowed.
CotizUp reserves the right to suspend or ban a fundraising or user that does not comply with our standards.
Many fundraising sites charge up to 8% in fees just to use their platform. We have never done that and never will. CotizUp is dedicated to helping as many people as possible. That's why we will never charge anyone to raise money on our site.

All online fundraising requires a banking service to accept credit cards. These institutions make secure transactions possible.
In return, they charge fees. Each institution charges per transaction (on each contribution). The average fee charged to CotizUp after negotiation is about 1.9% of the transaction + 0.50. One of the lowest commission rates on the market, in addition to our independence.
These fees are not charged by CotizUp. We charge 0%! These fees are automatically deducted when you receive your funds, so you do not need to pay anything upfront.
"CotizUp is one of the best things out there. A trusted public-interest organization and an exceptional humanitarian tool that benefits both donors and beneficiaries. Thanks to the whole team."
Everything you need to know to create, share, and secure your fundraising
It's simple: through optional "tips" left by contributors. We rely on contributor generosity to keep providing a fundraising platform with absolutely NO platform commission. During a contribution made on a fundraising hosted on CotizUp, users can add a small voluntary contribution to support our operations and help keep fundraising free for everyone.
These tips allow us to finance platform development, but above all to attract more visitors (and potential donors) through advertising. So they also indirectly help your fundraising succeed.
CotizUp uses state-of-the-art secure payment encryption technology. Every day, thousands of transactions are processed on CotizUp.
We use trusted technologies, which fully handle the payment platform and transaction security. All transactions and your data are automatically encrypted.
CotizUp never stores your bank card data on its servers.
In addition, the entire CotizUp platform is secured by Comodo Secured® through an SSL/HTTPS protocol, ensuring your information is transmitted securely. You can verify this via the lock icon in your browser's address bar
It means CotizUp confirmed the fundraising is managed by an authentic profile of an individual, organization, business, nonprofit, or public figure. The probability of identity impersonation is considered "null"
Keep in mind that a verified fundraising does not guarantee how the fundraiser will execute or use collected money. Likewise, a non-verified fundraising does not mean the profile is fake, only that it has not yet been reviewed by CotizUp teams
💡 Note: fundraising verification is not done on request, and there is no form to ask for a fundraising to be checked. CotizUp teams review fundraisings randomly. If your fundraising has not yet been verified, there are other ways to show participants that your profile is authentic and earn their trust. For example, in your fundraising description, you can provide as many details as possible about your identity or your fundraising, a link to your social media profile, your official website, or your X (ex Twitter) account
The description is the most important element of a fundraising: this is where you should provide as much detail as possible to answer visitor questions (and therefore potential donors' questions). A very short description can be perceived as negligence or lack of seriousness about your project. A good description includes a detailed explanation of your fundraising goal, why it matters to you, and, if possible, quotes, invoices, figures, etc. You can also use this space to add extra photos. The more details you provide, the more credible you will appear to donors
Our teams are trained in anti-fraud and monitor every fundraising.
